COST OF LIVING Begins Performances Tonight at MTC's Stage I

Manhattan Theatre Club's New York premiere of Cost of Living, the new play by Martyna Majok (Ironbound, Mouse in a Jar), directed by Jo Bonney (Father Comes Home from the Wars; By the Way, Meet Vera Stark), begins performances tonight, Tuesday May 16, at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

HAMILTON's Jasmine Cephas Jones and More Sign on for Opening Act Benefit Reading

Opening Act, which for more than a decade has provided free after-school theater programming to New York City's most underserved public high schools, announced today that Jasmine Cephas Jones (Hamilton), Zazie Beetz (Atlanta), and Tom Pelphrey (Iron Fist), have joined the cast of Opening Act's 11th Annual Benefit Play Reading at New World Stages on April 25th, 2017.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts are pleased to announce that the Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) will continue their 25 Years: 25 Films series with a screening of Judy Berlin on Sunday, April 9 at 6:00pm, featuring a special appearance by lead actress Edie Falco. The 52nd Street Project makes a difference in the lives of countless Hell's Kitchen (Clinton) kids by pairing them with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original theater. Perhaps the most poignant presentations made by the Project are those in its semi-annual Playmaking series, which features the Project's youngest Hell's Kitchen menses - 9- and 10-year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education - writing for accomplished professional actors and revealing their work to a public audience for the first time.

Just days after calling on the controversial Miami Seaquarium to free the marine park's lone orca, Lolita, big-hearted Tony Award winner Alan Cumming was recognized with PETA's Humanitarian Award during a special Valentine's Day bash in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday. American Theatre of Actors Set to Premiere THE QUEEN'S DILEMMA: A NEW MUSICAL

The Queen's Dilemma, book, music, and lyrics by Samuel J. Bernstein, is a play inspired by the Biblical Book of Esther. It will be performed on March 4th (7 p.m.) and March 5th (1 and 4 p.m.) at the American Theatre of Actors (314 West 54th Street) This original musical play blends humor with anguish, tragedy with triumph, while exploring Jewish identity in all its complexities.
