The colors MALLOY saw in the sky that morning helped to inspire the look and feel of the “A Brand New Day” video and to cast his dog “DJ,” a three year old 100% German shepherd, in it. The video was directed by Andrew Rozario for Casting Life Films with animator, Beau Burnette and illustrator, Ian Buchanan.

Art enthusiasts gathered last night (May 22) at Montalvo Arts Center for an exclusive members-only unveiling of its 2019-2020 Carriage House Theatre Concert Series line-up. The historic Silicon Valley venue announced a thrilling roster of performers from Meow Meow to The Second City, from Pablo Cruise to Loudon Wainwright III, tributes to The Beatles, Cream, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and an appearance by NPR's hit radio show and podcast "Selected Shorts." The season launches in October, offering a stellar line-up of theatre, comedy, magic, Grammy Award nominees/winners performing jazz, bluegrass, pop, rock, classical, new age, folk, Hawaiian music, and more. Songwriters Hall of Fame member Steve Dorff will be appearing at The Triad Theatre in New York City on June 11, performing many of his best-loved hits and sharing the fascinating stories behind them. Dorff's career spans five decades with over 400 songs and numerous No. 1 hits recorded by legendary artists such as Barbra Streisand ('Higher Ground'), Celine Dion ('Miracle'), Anne Murray ('I Just Fall in Love Again'), Kenny Rogers ('Through the Years'), George Strait ('I Cross My Heart'), Eddie Rabbitt ('Every Which Way But Loose'), and countless others. 

It wasn't the Country Music Awards or Grammy Awards at the new Birdland Theater last night but it sure seemed like it. An overflow audience for the Victoria Shaw concert got a surprise as Victoria called up two of her friends who were in the audience……..Desmond Child, and then Kristin Chenoweth each sang a number. Even Jim Caruso who has hosted every famous person on the planet whipped out his cell phone camera for this one.
