The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, will welcome Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch to Bemelmans Bar for a Sunday night residency throughout the spring 2016 season. Featuring top artists from the worlds of jazz, cabaret and Broadway alongside special unannounced guests, Sunday nights at Bemelmans Bar have become a favorite spot for a wide range of performing musicians across the city. Additionally, the classic watering hole has drawn crowds consisting of socialites, politicians, movie stars and moguls for more than five decades.

The Broadway at Birdland Concert Series welcomed Jamie deRoy & friends for a star-studded cabaret show last night and BroadwayWorld was there.

? Marilyn Maye returned to Feinstein's/54 Below and celebrated her birthday with a new show last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Highlights will include some of the best musical moments of Marilyn's enduring career over the past decade, during which she reigned as Manhattan's Queen of Cabaret.

Jerry's 90th Birthday Party soon became a telethon of happiness as the Friars evening unfolded.  The pledges given to Jerry Lewis were of love and respect and they came from his fellow Friars and entertainers jam packed into the Frank Sinatra Dining Room.  The amount of laughs in the club even created a new total of hysterics for an institution that has been the home of much laughter during its storied show biz history.

Hazel features a book by Lissa Levin, music by Ron Abel, and lyrics by Chuck Steffan. This new musical is directed and choreographed by Tony nominee and Emmy Award winner Joshua Bergasse with musical direction by Roberta Duchak. A brand new Yamaha C7 Concert Grand Piano was delivered to Birdland yesterday and to start off it's residency in it's new home The Broadway at Birdland Series presented Piano Men.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presented 'THE WHOLE MEGILLAH' last night and BroadwayWorld was there. From Adam Spiegel and Dan Wolpow, the writers of Cloned! (NYMF 2014 Best of Fest Audience Prize and New York Times Critic's Pick), The Whole Megillah! is a raucous, raunchy and ribald take on the Book of Esther, which tells the ridiculous story of the Jewish holiday of Purim.

Gianni Russo, actor/singer best known for his role as Carlo Rizzi in The Godfather headlined an evening of entertainment at the legendary Le Cirque restaurant last night and BroadwayWorld was there.

The excitement and joy of last night's The New York Pops 42nd on 57th: Broadway Today, continued on 55th street after the last note sounded at Carnegie Hall.  The artists and Maestro Steven Reineke joined guests to celebrate another great concert in this 33rd season of The New York Pops. Fyvush Finkel, 93 year old Broadway veteran, Yiddish Theater star, movie and TV actor was accompanied by his two sons Ian and Elliot Finkel and opened at the Metropolitan Room last night.  BroadwayWorld was there, along with many actors, musicians, and comics, who turned out to see the legendary performer take the packed room on an emotional musical journey with some hysterical humor, wonderful singing, and brilliant character acting by Mr. Finkel.  Ian Finkel who is billed as the world's greatest xylophonist, more then lives up to that title with his virtuoso exciting style, and along with powerful piano interpretations by Elliot Finkel, the show is a great musical experience.

The 6th annual BROADWAY BELTS FOR PFF! - a concert that raises much-needed funds for Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation - was held last night at the Edison Ballroom (240 W. 47 St.). Hosted by Julie Halston, performers included: Lisa Howard (IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU), Margo Seibert (ROCKY), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (ONCE UPON A MATTRESS),Daveed Diggs (HAMILTON), Randy Graff (CITY OF ANGELS), Cady Huffman (THE PRODUCERS), Judy Kaye(PHANTOM OF THE OPERA), Telly Leung (ALLEGIANCE), and Robert Creighton (THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, CAGNEY).
