If you are a young classical pianist your map quest to Carnegie Hall is The Stecher and Horowitz Foundation. For 56 years The Stecher and Horowitz Foundation has served as an incubator of talent in the world of classical music. It acts as a conduit to discover, uncover, and present remarkable young pianists to an audience awaiting the latest musical gems to be unearthed. The concept was inspired by the inquisitive faces passing through the doors of the original Stecher and Horowitz School of the Arts. Concerned about the road that lay ahead for many aspiring musicians trained, it was realized the next chapter in the Foundation's mission was the need to serve as mentors through its flagship programs, The New York International Piano Competition and The Young Artists Series. The 8th New York International Piano Competition is June 19-14, Opening Ceremonies at Steinway Hall on June 19th and completion at The Manhattan School of Music.
