FX Renews ARCHER for Fifth Season

FX has ordered season five of its critically-acclaimed animated comedy series Archer, it was announced today by Nick Grad, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development, FX. The network has ordered 13 episodes for the series' fifth season.

The Waterworks Company presents Judith Thompson's Palace of the End, playing at Espace 4001 from March 14th to 24th. Directed by Rob Langford, the cast includes Sarah Marchand (the Soldier), Michael Findlay (Dr. David Kelly), and Alexandra Valassis (Nehrjas Al-Saffarh).
STC Launches Expert Witnesses Series with Fred Thompson, 3/18

The Shakespeare Theatre Company's legal affinity group, the Bard Association, unveils Expert Witnesses, a new series of interviews with prominent members of the legal community who have bridged the gap to the arts world. Former Senator and television star of Law & Order, Fred Thompson, will inaugurate a sequence of high profile, one-on-one interviews with Bard Association Chair Abbe David Lowell (Chadbourne & Parke LLP). Expert Witnesses will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).

'Smashing History: 150 Years of LGBTIQA Vassar,' a three-day conference that celebrates the accomplishments of prominent Vassar alumnae/i who have distinguished themselves in service to LGBTIQA communities and seeks to inspire participants to take action for the future, will be held from Thursday, November 3, through Saturday, November 5. The conference will feature panels, lectures, workshops, exhibits, and performances.

BWW Reviews: PROJECT: B-MOVIE from Wing-It Productions

Look out! The aliens are coming! … or the monsters … or the mysterious virus … or the woodchucks? Well which is it? That's one of the questions Wing-It productions is attempting to answer with their latest improv show "Project: B-Movie". And while it seemed to be a bit of an off night for the gifted performers the night I attended, there were still some hilarious touches, innovative staging and lots of laughs.
