Little Island Storytelling Festival Begins Tomorrow

Little Island, New York City's new public park in Hudson River Park by W. 13th Street, begins performances for the 2021 Storytelling Festival tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21. The multidisciplinary festival is curated by Little Island Artists-in-Residence PigPen Theatre Co. and will run through Sunday, July 25.

IN THE CLOSET To Explore Ageism In The Gay Community

Ebner-Page Productions today annonuced the New York Premiere Off-Broadway run of Siegmund Fuchs' IN THE CLOSET, a stirring dramedy about ageism in the gay community that will begin a limited Off-Broadway engagement Wednesday, May 29, 2019 continuing through June 16, 2019 at Theatre Row's Studio Theatre, (410 West 42nd Street).  Eli Carpenter will direct.  Mr. Fuchs lives in Washington, D.C., is an attorney for the United States Department of Justice, and his academic work focuses on abuse victims.

Cabaret Stars Unite for Off-Broadway Play IN THE CLOSET

On April 29 at 7 PM, at the historic and exquisite Church of the Transfiguration, an impressive roster of cabaret celebrities will gather together to celebrate and support the upcoming production of a powerful new off-Broadway play, In the Closet. Offering up selections from their vast repertoires, KT Sullivan, Jeff Harnar, Marieann Meringolo, Billy Stritch, Jon Weber, Eugene Ebner and Doris Dear will, in turn, entertain and enthrall the attendees. The audience will also receive a special glimpse of the new theatrical event as the playwright Siegmund Fuchs introduces actor Paul Page performing a monologue from the work.

Feinstein's/54 Below to Host THE SONGS OF SIMONE ALLEN

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Simone Allen in The Songs of Simone Allen on January 27th, 2018 at 11:30 PM. Simone Allen (Broadway Stands Up For Freedom/NYMF's Women of Note) makes her Feinstein's/54 Below debut in The Songs of Simone Allen. Simone presents a night of original singer/songwriter material as well as songs from her current musical theater project, Underground. Her unique sound draws from jazz, pop, rock, folk, and musical theater. She has received praise for her deep and varied collection of work and her natural fantastic melodic sensibility.

Raposo, and Maximus DeFrancesco, makes its world premiere at this year's Midtown International Theatre Festival.
