Tickets for the Toronto premiere of Disney's Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning animated film, will go on sale to the public today, June 10th at 9AM online, by phone and in person.

Select seating for the world premiere musical stage production of Disney's classic animated film ALADDIN has now been made available byway of special subscription packages for the tuner, with 20% discounted seats as well as early bird discounts available through June 30.

Producers Bill Kenwright, The Really Useful Group, David Mirvish, Troika Entertainment & Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures have just announced that the first North American tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's new stage adaptation of THE WIZARD OF OZ will commence on September 10, 2013 at The Smith Center in Las Vegas, NV.

On Wednesday, April 3rd Oz had a very special visitor, as Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber attended the all Canadian production of his new musical for the first time. Lloyd Webber was in Toronto last fall for the CBC television show Over the Rainbow, which cast Danielle Wade in the lead role of Dorothy, however he had not yet seen the full production of the show. For its 50th year, the Mirvish family will present 14 shows in Toronto - its biggest season ever.

Now, Disney Theatrical Productions has confirmed that Aladdin, a new musical based on the Academy Award winning animated film, will play its pre-Broadway engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre(formerly the Canon) November 13, 2013 to January 12, 2014 and will open at Broadway's New Amsterdam Theatre in 2014. The show will feature music by Alan Menken; lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin with a book by Beguelin. Casey Nicholaw will direct and choreograph.

From the very first performance on December 20, 2012, THE WIZARD OF OZ has been a bona fide box office hit. Audiences have packed the Ed Mirvish Theatre (formerly the Canon) to enjoy this new telling of the classic story. More than 60,000 people have already seen the show in just 35 performances, bringing in over $6M at the box office.

Wade, 20, won the eight week long reality competition 'Over the Rainbow' Monday night after a nation-wide vote eliminated runners-up AJ Bridel and Stephanie LaRochelle. Danielle will headline the Mirvish presentation of The Wizard of Oz, opening this Christmas at the Ed Mirvish Theatre.

According to The Globe and Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber's reworked stage musical The Wizard of Oz is set to launch a North American tour in fall of 2013. Danielle of La Salle, Ontario, has just been cast in the lead role of 'Dorothy' after competing in CBC's reality series 'Over the Rainbow.' She will also lead the all-Canadian cast on the tour.
