Producer, director, and New Federal Theatre founder Woodie King Jr. passed away at 88 on January 29 following complications from emergency heart surgery.

The Folger Shakespeare Library is reopening its historic home on Capitol Hill to the public on Friday, November 17, 2023, after a major three-year building renovation that will allow the Folger to share more of its collection and resources than ever before.

'Rules and Roles of Comedy' will be acted by Paul Albe, FitzyFitz, Sharon Fogarty, Ray Grist, Jesse N. Holmes, Donna Kennedy and Claudia Menza. Most of them are veterans of James' prior works.  Costumes are by Ramona Ponce.

The production also stars Merle Dandridge (Broadway's Spamalot and Tarzan) as Lily/Kate.
