Signature Theatre to Offer $75 Tickets to Betty Buckley Benefit

Signature Theatre will present an evening of cocktails and a special one-night-only concert starring one of Broadway's living legends, Betty Buckley, on Monday, September 30 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street) to support the Legacy Program in honor of Horton Foote. Buckley will be singing some of musical theatre's most iconic songs, including songs she's sung in her sold-out national concert appearances. Tickets start at $150 for both the pre-show cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. and the concert at 7:30 p.m. A limited number of $75 concert only tickets are now available. Patrick Drury, Florence Hall & More Set for Rose Theatre Kingston and English Touring Theatre GHOSTS

Rose Theatre Kingston and English Touring Theatre will co-produce a new translation of Henrik Ibsen's classic, Ghosts this autumn. Stephen Unwin, outgoing Artistic Director of the Rose Theatre, will direct his own translation which will premiere at the Rose on the 19 September before touring nationwide to Salisbury, Oxford, Guildford, York, Watford, Malvern and Brighton. Unwin has a long standing connection with Ibsen's work, and this will be the 7th Ibsen play he has directed. This will be the second play translation that Unwin has written, following his highly acclaimed translation of The Lady from the Sea in 2012 at the Rose Theatre.

IRON MAN 3 Extended Clip to Debut on 2013 MTV MOVIE AWARDS, 4/14

Tony Stark will crash the biggest party of the year as MTV today announced it will exclusively debut an extended scene from the highly anticipated film, Marvel's "Iron Man 3," during the "2013 MTV Movie Awards" LIVE on Sunday, April 14, at 9:00 pm ET/PT. Immediately following the televised premiere, the extended clip will be available for exclusive viewing on MTV.com. The "2013 MTV Movie Awards" will air across MTV's global network of more than 60 channels reaching more than a half-billion households around the world.

Mark Wahlberg to Debut New Clip of PAIN AND GAIN on MTV Tonight

Continuing a week-long celebration of the Summer Blockbuster Movie season, MTV's 'Sneak Peek Week' continues tonight with a screening of the new film 'Pain and Gain.' Stars Mark Wahlberg, Rob Corddry, Ken Jeong, Bar Paly and director Michael Bay will be onsite to introduce an exclusive clip from the film at 11:00 p.m. ET on MTV and immediately following treat fans to an extended live Q&A with MTV News' Josh Horowitz on MTV.com. About the Playwright- Lanford Wilson

Lanford Wilson was born on April 13, 1937 in Lebanon, Missouri. At age 11, after his parents divorced and mother remarried, Wilson moved with his mother to Ozark where he developed an appreciation for art and tried his hand at performing in high school plays.

Cygnet Theatre Receives NEA Grant to Support August Wilson's GEM OF THE OCEAN, Now thru 2/24

National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Rocco Landesman announced today that Cygnet Theatre is one of 832 non-profit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Art Works grant. Cygnet Theatre is recommended for a $10,000 grant to support Gem of the Ocean, the first play of the August Wilson Cycle Plays. The grant also helps support outreach activities including post show forums and a presentation of Walking in the Shadows of August Wilson by Antonio T.J. Johnson. In total, nine San Diego non-profits received grants in this latest round of funding totaling $213,000.

ZACH Officially Opens Topfer Theatre

The Zach Scott Theatre has shown Austin for 79 years that it knows how to put on a show. On Saturday, September 27th with their Deep in the Heart of ZACH celebration of the new Topfer Theater, Zach proved they know how to throw a party as well.

Photo Flash: Inside Watermill Center’s BIG BANG Benefit

The Watermill Center held its annual summer benefit on Saturday, July 28th. Despite a downpour of rain, the spectacular event went on as planned with performance art and installations. Watermill International Summer Program Participants from over 25 countries created eight acres of installations and performances throughout the grounds of Watermill Center. The funds raised will support The Watermill Center's International Summer Program and year round Artist Residency Program, providing a unique environment for young and emerging artists to explore and develop their work. BWW Reviews: Huntington Hits For the Cycle With MA RAINEY

The Huntington Theatre Company's production of MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM completes August Wilson's Century Cycle, ten plays that reflect the African-American experience in America by the decade throughout the 20th century. Yvette Freeman (NBC's ER) is a force of nature in the title role, and local actor Jason Bowen captivates as the hotheaded young trumpeter who personifies the Zeitgeist.
