The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago announces its 44th season of presenting diverse international, national and regional contemporary dance.

JAG Productions has announced the full casting for their upcoming production of August Wilson's Pulitzer-Prize winning play Fences at Woodstock Town Hall Theatre in Woodstock, VT. Fences, directed by Jarvis Antonio Green (JAG Productions: Choir Boy), will run from April 27 through May 7.

Part allegory, part realism, play transports audience to early 20th century.

A decade or so from now, if you were to google 'Broadway shows that had a mediocre Broadway run but are regional theater crowdpleasers,' I'd be willing to bet that Catch Me if You Can would top the list. The musical, written by Hairspray's Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman with a book by Terrence McNally, played only 166 Broadway performances. Despite mixed reviews, the musical received 5 Tony nominations, including Best Musical. Norbert Leo Butz even took home the award for Best Actor in a Leading role (In other words, Butz beat out both leads from The Book of Mormon, and the Tony Awards reaction shot from Mormon's Josh Gad demands a YouTube detour before you continue reading).

YALE SCHOOL OF DRAMA presents the ninth annual Carlotta Festival of New Plays, May 9 to 16 at the Iseman Theater (1156 Chapel Street, New Haven). The Festival is comprised of three fully-produced plays by graduating playwrights performed in repertory with twelve performances over eight days.

The Alvarado family will be honored with the McHugh Award during the Colorado "I Have A Dream" Foundation (CIHAD) annual gala Thursday, October 17 at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center in Denver. The event also celebrates CIHAD's 25 years of helping some of Denver's most at-risk youth achieve their dreams by providing a long-term academic and social mentorship program for youth who live in economically-disadvantaged neighborhoods and/or attend underperforming schools in Metro Denver.

Signature Theatre will present an evening of cocktails and a special one-night-only concert starring one of Broadway's living legends, Betty Buckley, on Monday, September 30 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street) to support the Legacy Program in honor of Horton Foote.
