TexARTS is pleased to announce a new cabaret series beginning in December 2012.  The TexARTS Cabaret Series will feature a starry line up of some of Austin's most dynamic voices in the intimate Kam and James Morris Theatre.  Courtney Sanchez and Matthew E Wilson will kick off the series with the holiday-themed cabaret Coming Home for Christmas. 

Known as one of Austin's top vocalists, Courtney Sanchez has made a name for herself as a solo artist, the female lead singer of the jazz and funk band The Atlantics and as an actress in countless Austin productions such as RENT, DREAMGIRLS and PORGY & BESS. Courtney has been in music, theatre and dance for over thirty years and has performed alongside Brannen Temple, Guy Forsyth, Nakia, Patrice Pike, Malford Milligan and more.   Joining Courtney and Matt will be a lineup of Austin favorites including: Dewy Brooks, Jacqui Cross, Tim Curry, Felicia Dinwiddie, Paul Sanchez, Rod Sanford, and Janis Stinson.

COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS will run Dec. 21 – 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the TexARTS  Kam and James Morris Theatre, 2300 Lohman's Spur, Austin, TX 78734.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Single ticket prices are $30 & $45 for cocktail table seating.  For tickets and information call the TexARTS Box Office at 512-852-9079 x101 or visit www.tex-arts.org. Upcoming performances in the 2012-2013 TexARTS Cabaret Series will showcase powerhouse acts: Rosie and the Ramblers, Austin Haller and Kara Bliss, The Studebakers, and Michelle Cheney.

TexARTS is a non-profit organization that offers year-round classes in acting, voice, ballet and dance as well as completely staged youth and professional productions. TexARTS is recognized throughout the region for its professional theatre and educational programs.
