The Shakespeare Theatre Presents Holiday A Holiday Classic For Its 2016 Season Finale

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey rings in the holiday season with a timeless production of A Child's Christmas in Wales, based on the classic story by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and adapted for the stage by Jeremy Brooks and Adrian Mitchell. The festive show is being revived for the first time since it last appeared on the STNJ stage in 2003, featuring Greg Jackson in the role of Dylan Thomas. Performances begin November 30 and run through January 1 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue in Madison. A NOT SO SILENT NIGHT to Retire with December Performance at First Unity

The season will conclude with a special theatre, music and visual art collaboration, "Molded By the Flow," that will hold opening nights in both Lewiston and Gorham.

Lantern Theater Company and the Fels Institute of Government will partner to host political economist Mark Blyth for George Bernard Shaw - Theater, Economics, and Social Justice on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 6 p.m. on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Presented in conjunction with the Lantern's current production of Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession, Blyth will explore the play's economic themes in this one-hour program moderated by Lantern Artistic Director Charles McMahon; an audience Q&A will follow. Nathanael William Stolte is a madcap, DIY, Buffalo poet. His first chapbook 'A Beggar's Book of Poems' published by LastFirstPress-PrintCollective came out in the summer of 2015. He has been a featured poet at Third Wednesday, ECC, and Buffalo State College. Also, in Cleveland, Ohio at Guide to Kulture Book Store. He is one of the founding members of Cringe-Worthy Poets Collective. CWPCollective Press is the kitchen table press he and the Cringers started this year. His second chapbook 'Bumblebee Petting Zoo' and small collections of poems '9 By NWS' and '8 By NWS' were published this year (2016). He is currently working on a summer tour with the Cringers and John Dorsey, nine cities from New Jersey to New Mexico at the end of July. He travels to Kent and Cleveland Ohio for readings as well as Rochester New York. He hopes to expand to Syracuse New York and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He describes his poetics as cathartic confessional or nostalgic reverie. He also co-hosts a monthly poetry circle at Rust Belt on Grant Street, every first Thursday of the month, always at 7pm.

Theatr Clwyd's SCATTERED to Launch Limited Tour

Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd Tamara Harvey today announces the return of Tim Baker's Scattered - the story of two boys from very different backgrounds whose lives collide during an unexpected meeting, forming a bond across boundaries and cultures. Directed by former resident director John Young, the production has been created with the advice of Manchester-based Rethink Rebuild, a Syrian refugee community group. The production plays at Theatr Clwyd and Chapter Cardiff and tours to local secondary schools before final performances at the Good Chance Theatre in Calais - the first play to be invited to perform at the venue.
