Universal Pictures to Make THE INVISIBLE MAN, EMMA, & THE HUNT Available In Homes This Friday

NBCUniversal's Universal Pictures has announced that it will make its current films in theaters available in homes as early as this Friday for on-demand 48-hour rental at the suggested price of $19.99 each, according to Deadline. This includes three films: Blumhouse's The Invisible Man and The Hunt, and Focus Features' Emma. This announcement goes for both domestic and offshore markets where the titles are in release.

The Educational Theatre Foundation (ETF) has announced the appointment of Krista Carson Elhai, Peter Hagan, Elwood Hopkins and Allison Rawlings to a term on the National Board from 2020 to 2023. The ETF National Board of Trustees is composed of prominent leaders across a diverse range of industries, including entertainment, finance, hospitality, law, education, and nonprofit theatre, all with a common passion for theatre education.
Tribeca Announces 2020 Short Film Lineup

The 19th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its 2020 Shorts Program lineup. Setting a record with over 6,100 submissions, the final program roster includes 64 diverse and captivating short films from 20 countries around the globe, and features 46 world premieres, including DreamWorks Animation's new animated short, To Gerard. The short films will be presented in 10 distinct competition programs which include five narrative, four documentary, and one animation program. For the fourth consecutive year, 40 percent of the selections are directed by female filmmakers. Queen Collective by Procter & Gamble in partnership with Queen Latifah, Flavor Unit Entertainment and Tribeca Studios is back, a program dedicated to supporting gender and racial equality behind the camera. The 2020 shorts lineup is programmed by Sharon Badal and Ben Thompson. The 2020 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 15 - April 26.

When you think of theatre, what shows come to mind? An obvious answer may well be Wicked. The writer of songs such as 'Defying Gravity' and 'Popular', Stephen Schwartz is for many the epitome of musical theatre. But cast your mind back to before Wicked and remember The Prince of Egypt, a 1998 animated film for which Schwartz penned 'When You Believe'.
