Due to popular demand Vassar & New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater is adding an additional workshop performance on Sunday, July 29 at 7:30pm of the new indie rock musical Murder Ballad by Julia Jordan & Juliana Nash, directed by Trip Cullman. The cast features Tony nominees Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange; Shrek: The Musical) and Will Swenson (Hair; Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as well as Dee Roscioli (Wicked) and Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot; Passing Strange).

The indie rock musical Murder Ballad is written by award-winning playwright Julia Jordan (Tatjana in Color; Sarah, Plain and Tall) and Juliana Nash (frontwoman for the indie rock band Talking to Animals), directed by Trip Cullman (Lonely, I'm Not; Assistance; A Small Fire). Gardiner (Banquo/Captain/Cathness/Porter/Messenger/Murderer 2) James Hogg (Banquo/Captain/Porter/Messenger/Murderer 2/Doctor), James Lavender (Macduff /Duncan/Murderer 1), Alexandra Milne (Witch/Ensemble), Guy Oliver-Watts (Macbeth), Rebecca Reaney (Lady Macbeth/Boy) and Mary Werntz (Witch/Ensemble), opening Wednesday, April 25th. This limited engagement continues through May 6th only.

Larry Keigwin (Artistic Director) is a native New Yorker and graduate from Hofstra University, where he received a BA in Dance. He founded KEIGWIN + COMPANY in 2003 and as Artistic Director, Keigwin has led the company as it has performed at theaters and dance festivals throughout New York City and across the country.
