IT Awards' 2013 Honorary Award Applications Now Open; Deadline 5/1

The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, has announced that the 2013 Honorary Award applications are now available online at www.nyitawards.com. The applications for the 2013 Honorary Awards are available online and are due by 6pm on May 1, 2013.

East Colfax was directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh and featured Clea Alsip, Joby Earle, Lesley Shires, and Micah Stock.

LOS NUTCRACKERS: A CHRISTMAS CARAJO Returns to BAAD! Tonight

BAAD! The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance presents LOS NUTCRACKERS: A CHRISTMAS CARAJO, written by Charles Rice-Gonzalez, directed by Mark Finley, and choreographed by Richard Rivera. The play, returning to BAAD!'s stage for the ninth exciting year, interweaves two holiday classics, The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol, and creates a queer, Latino play about a gay couple who go on a psychedelic trip through their lives one Christmas Eve. The play will be presented tonight, November 30, December 1, 6, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 8pm at BAAD!, 841 Barretto Street in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx.

The reading is set for 7:30pm tonight, August 25, 2012.

Great Jones Repertory Company Presents WHEN CLOWNS PLAY HAMLET at La MaMa, Now thru 6/3

La MaMa presents H.M. Koutoukas' WHEN CLOWNS PLAY HAMLET, A 1964 Bitter Camp, with music composed by Joseph Blunt, directed by Ozzie Rodriguez. As part of the "Homecomings" Anniversary Season La MaMa is honoring Ellen Stewart, Harry Koutoukas and Tom O'Horgan. The production will be performed by members of The Great Jones Repertory Company tonight, May 24 thru June 3, 2012 in La MaMa's First Floor Theatre.
