T. Schreiber Theatre Presents 4th Annual Schreiber Shorts 10-Minute Play Festival

T. Schreiber Theatre (TST) proudly presents 'The Fourth Annual Schreiber Shorts: An Evening of One Acts' January 25th and runs through February 11th. The 10-minute play series will feature works by 10 playwrights, selected from nearly 1000 submissions in a nationwide playwriting competition. Curated and produced by Halle Morse and Megan Grace, 'The Schreiber Shorts' marks the second production of TST' 2016-17 season. Performances are Wednesdays-Sundays at 8:00pm at the Gloria Maddox Theatre (151 West 26th Street, 7th Floor). Tickets are $15: tschreiber.org/shorts

Celebrating 10 seasons of Roundabout Underground, Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the sixth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Saheem Ali, Emily Feldman, Alex Lubischer, Don Nguyen, Ming Peiffer and Michael Thurber.

TOSOS (The Other Side of Silence) was nominated for four New York Innovative Theatre Awards at last night's nomination party at 42WESTny. Nominations include Outstanding Revival of a Play, and Outstanding Ensemble for Doric Wilson's Street Theater for its run at The Eagle NY. Kathleen Warnock's play The Further Adventures of… was nominated for Outstanding Short Script and Outstanding Ensemble. The Further Adventures of… opens this Friday, August 12, at the 20th Annual New York International Fringe Festival. The New York Innovative Theatre Awards will be awarded this fall in New York City.
Doric Wilson's The West Street Gang at the Eagle NYC

Wilson's play, originally produced at The Spike, was written three years before the Ramrod leather bar massacre in November 1980, in which a man armed with a machine gun shot eight people, killing two. It is a dark, comic look at the bar's patrons and their attempts to defend it from both physical attacks as well as political attempts to close it.
