Peculiar Works Project has announced the world premiere of their next site-specific theatrical event, 3CHRISTS, written by SM Dale & Barry Rowell, and directed by Kelly O'Donnell. Based on The Three Christs of Ypsilanti, a psychological study by Milton Rokeach, 3CHRISTS will be performed in the sanctuary of Judson Memorial Church (55 Washington Square South, at Thompson St.). Performances begin on Friday, September 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 28. Opening Night is Sunday, September 7 at 7 PM. The performance schedule is Thursday - Sunday at 7 PM. Two casts - one black and one white - play the same American family in a celebration of life that spans 90 years and three generations all within 45 minutes. The NorthEast Shakespeare Ensemble (NESE) has begun rehearsals for its production of Shakespeare's monumental tragedy, Othello, with the strongest cast in its seven-year history. Directed by NESE Artistic Director John Goodlin, Othello will run for eight performances from May 21 through May 30 at Colby-Sawyer College's Sawyer Center Theater in New London.

These two classic plays will showcase the versatile talents of NESE's acting Company: Comedy is a fast-paced popular delight, full of puns, wordplay and slapstick humor, and one of the funniest plays the Bard ever wrote; in contrast, Godot is a tragicomedy, where 'nothing' happens, but audiences still stay glued to their seats.
