The Guthrie Theater, now in previews for the critically acclaimed play Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies, welcomed the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright to the final rehearsal and first preview last weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7. The Guthrie Theater today announced complete casting for Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Donald Margulies' celebrated drama Time Stands Still.

Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents 'Dinner with Friends' by Donald Margulies. The production runs from April 6-8, in Stage III, Webster Hall, 470 E. Lockwood Ave. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 p.m. only on Sunday.

The Firehouse Theatre Project today announced the four contemporary American plays being produced for the 2012-13 season, opening in September 2012 and closing in April 2013. The 2012-13 Season will feature A Bright New Boise, by Samuel D. Hunter; Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller; Any Given Monday by Bruce Graham; and Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies.

Tony Award winning actresses Stockard Channing (Other Desert Cities, The West Wing) andLaura Benanti (Gypsy, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) will star in a one-night only reading of Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies' Collected Stories to benefit Opening Act, an innovative nonprofit that provides free after-school theater programming to New York City's most under-served public high schools.

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) announces its 38th season, with the theme of "Rebels: Pushing Against the Boundaries." The 2012-2013 season will feature five productions performed at the Broadway Theatre Center.

South Coast Repertory revived Donald Margulies' Sight Unseen, an SCR-commissioned play that had its world premiere here 20 seasons ago. It runs through April 1 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.

Despite their best efforts, director Lauren Shouse and her amazingly talented cast just can't give Tracy Lett's Superior Donuts the emotional heft-the literary gravitas-that the playwright so mightily struggles for in his sitcomesque script which pales in comparison to his supposed masterpiece, August: Osage County. Clearly, it's the success of that earlier, heavily-decorated and awarded, Pulitzer Prize-winning play that most theatre companies are invoking as they attempt to sell tickets to this decidedly lesser work, hoping to capitalize on its success in hoodwinking an unsuspecting audience.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies will talk about writing for the theatre, film and television at Chapman University on Saturday, March 17 at 3 p.m. The event is free to the public.
