Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) announces its 38th season, with the theme of "Rebels: Pushing Against the Boundaries." The 2012-2013 season will feature five productions performed at the Broadway Theatre Center.

The season kicks off in August with a classic comedy from the 1960s, A THOUSAND CLOWNS by Herb Gardner, August 9-26, 2012. September brings the world premiere of BROKEN AND ENTERED by Madison-based playwright Kurt McGinnis Brown, September 27 – October 14, 2012. MCT presented a staged reading of the play as part of the Montgomery Davis Play Development Series in 2009-2010. A two-year collaboration with Madison's Forward Theater Company concludes with a play about two strong-willed writers in COLLECTED STORIES by Donald Margulies, November 21 – December 16, 2012. The new year begins with UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL by Glen Berger, February 21 – March 17, 2013. In this mystery, a Dutch librarian travels around the world after a travel guidebook is returned 113 years overdue. MCT closes its 38th season with a new "Jeeves & Bertie" comic adventure, JEEVES IN BLOOM by Margaret Raether, April 11-28, 2013. MCT's 2010 production of Raether's JEEVES INTERVENES was a smash hit and Matt Daniels and Chris Klopatek will return to reprise the roles of Jeeves and Bertie.

All productions will be presented at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway, in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. Season tickets, $93 - $155, on sale now. A Thousand Clowns by Herb Gardner

August 9 - 26, 2012 at the Cabot Theatre. Directed by Jonathan West and Featuring Matt Daniels, Ray Jivoff, Thomas Kindler, Tom Klubertanz, Beth Mulkerron & Stephan Roselin.

Murray Burns believes in living life fully, even if that means going to the movies instead of looking for a job. Unfortunately, his eccentric, carefree nature might make him a questionable role model while raising his twelve-year-old genius nephew in New York City. When a young social worker from the Bureau of Child Welfare comes to investigate, Murray must make some rather big decisions.

Broken and Entered by Kurt McGinnis Brown-World Premiere!

Performs at the Studio Theatre Sept. 27 – Oct. 14, 2012. Directed by Suzan Fete and Featuring Marti Gobel, Andrew Edwin Voss & Jonathan Wainwright.

Wally and Vern have just moved back to their family home in a crumbling inner city community. They soon realize that in order to survive they need to "take what they can get," literally. So each night they guiltlessly burglarize houses in nearby upscale neighborhoods. When Wally falls for a wealthy, attractive neighbor named Jamila, the two brothers are forced to reexamine their perceptions of race while facing demons from their childhood. A staged reading of this play was presented in the 2009-2010 Montgomery Davis Play Development Series.

Collected Stories by Donald Margulies

Performances are Nov. 21 - Dec. 16, 2012 at the Studio Theatre. Directed by C. Michael Wright and Featuring Sarah Day & Laura Frye.

By 1990, renowned short story writer Ruth Steiner has become a recluse in Greenwich Village. Enter Lisa Morrison, her bright-eyed young protégée. Over the next six years, under Ruth's tutelage, Lisa advances from insecure student to faithful assistant to successful writer. As the relationship between these two strong-willed women evolves, the playwright who gave us Brooklyn Boy brings their story to a dramatic conclusion.

A collaboration with Forward Theater Company of Madison.

Underneath the Lintel by Glen Berger

Performances are Feb. 21 - March 17, 2013 at the Studio Theatre. Directed by C. Michael Wright and Featuring James Ridge.

A mystery begins when a Dutch librarian discovers a surprise in the overnight return slot …a travel guidebook that is 113 years overdue! The man, who has never left his native town of Hoofddorp, grows determined to track down the offender. As he travels around the world on his obsessive search, he finds himself on a journey that not only unlocks ancient mysteries, but moves him to new revelations.

Jeeves in Bloom by Margaret Raether

Performances are April 11-28, 2013 at the Cabot Theatre. Directed by Tami Workentin and Featuring Matt Daniels, Karen Estrada, Marcella Kearns, Chris Klopatek, Norman Moses & Chase Stoeger.

The lovably loopy Bertie Wooster always manages to get into socially precarious situations. This time around he finds himself dodging romantic entanglements with a starry-eyed young woman, eluding an enraged chef wielding a meat cleaver, and begrudgingly helping his Aunt Dahlia to commit a burglary. Thank heaven Jeeves is there to save the day! Based on the characters originally created by author P.G. Wodehouse and written by Margaret Raether, who brought the 2010 hit, JEEVES INTERVENES. Matt Daniels and Chris Klopatek return to reprise the roles of Jeeves & Bertie in a new misadventure!
