Parade Productions, Boca Raton's newest theatre company, will follow up their wildly successful debut production of Donald Margulies Brooklyn Boy with a premiere reading of South Florida playwright Stuart Meltzer's comedy, Better Than Damn Good. The reading will take place on April 23rd, at 7:30 p.m., at the Studio at Mizner Park in Boca Raton.

Annie Baker's Body Awareness, her first full-length professional production after leaving NYU's Dramatic Writing program in 2008, asks two simple questions, as asked by Lily Janiak in her February 2012 review of the play in San Francisco Weekly: “What if our loved ones are the people least likely to accept us for who we want to be? And what if the best we all can do is try to keep living together anyway?'

Donald Margulies' Pulitzer Prize-winning Dinner With Friends-starring Molly Breen, Holly Amber, Tony Hortert and Bryce Damuth-debuts at Murfreesboro's Out Front on Main this Thursday, running through March 25, in celebration of the theater company's second anniversary.

Die Eventplanerin, von Natur aus „dauerbegeistert" und kindlich wohlwollend, wirkt neben den beiden zynischen und vom Leben schwer gezeichneten Journalisten vollig deplaziert, was ihr sehr wohl bewusst ist. Sarah, die vor etwa zwanzig Jahren als Praktikantin selbst eine Affare mit Richard hatte, ist vollig vor den Kopf gestoßen, und versucht dies in ihrem leicht reizbaren Zustand auch nicht wirklich zu verbergen. Doch Mandy bleibt nicht der einzige Reibepunkt an diesem Tag, schnell eskaliert das Treffen und lasst zahlreiche ungeloste Konflikte zum Vorschein treten.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies will talk about writing for the theatre, film and television at Chapman University on Saturday, March 17 at 3 p.m. The event is free to the public.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Martha Lavey announced today the 2012/13 Subscription Season, including a Steppenwolf-commissioned world premiere and the work of fifteen ensemble members. In April 2013, ensemble member Tina Landau directs the Steppenwolf-commissioned world premiere of Head of Passes by ensemble member Tarell Alvin McCraney, their first collaboration since the widely-praised The Brother/Sister Plays (2010). The season concludes with Belleville by Amy Herzog, directed by Anne Kauffmann.

South Coast Repertory's Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF) celebrates its 15thanniversary this year with some pretty impressive numbers: By the time the festival closes, it will have given birth to 99 new plays by 78 different playwrights, almost all of which have gone on to full productions here or at theatres around the country.

Cooper will open with Good People, a play about a single-mother struggling to make ends meet in Boston's Southie neighborhood. Written by David Lindsay-Abaire, a Pulitzer Prize winner for Rabbit Hole, Good People revolves around the dynamic between the lead character and the former high school sweetheart who she thinks can turn her life around when they reconnect.
