Events impresario/restaurateur Barton G. Weiss brings his signature style to downtown Miami's Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts (www.arshtcenter.org) with PRELUDE BY BARTON G. (www.preludebybartong.com). Opening to the general public on October 23, 2009, PRELUDE BY BARTON G. will give arts patrons, locals and tourists alike the opportunity to dine in style in the heart of Miami's cultural hub. The restaurant will be open for business six days a week.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College kicks off its 2009-2010 World Stages: Dance series on Sunday, October 25 at 2pm with Chicago-based Luna Negra Dance Theater, performing a program of works by Latino choreographers including the New York premiere of Danzón, a new piece created by Luna Negra's former artistic director, Eduardo Vilaro. The company will be joined onstage by special guests Turtle Island Quartet and the legendary Paquito D'Rivera, who will provide live accompaniment for Danzón.

'Tanguera' The Tango Musical has a book by Diego Romay & Dolores Espeja; and lyrics by Eladia Blazques. The musical direction and arrangements are by Gerardo Gardelin and the tango arrangements are by Lisandro Adrover. Set design is by Valeria Ambrosio, with costume design by Cecilia Monti and lighting design by Ariel Del Mastro. The choreographer is Mora Godoy and the director is Omar Pacheco. Albert Camus' rarely-seen 1948 play THE MISUNDERSTANDING will be performed Off-Broadway this fall, with preview performances beginning October 29 prior to an official press opening on November 2, 2009 at The Flea Theatre (41 White Street) in Manhattan.

Tickets will go on sale this week for the Seattle Theatre Group presentation of several concerts. Bomba Estereo will play the The Crocodile 11/10, on sale 10/9 at 10am; The Cranberries will play the Moore Theatre 12/7, on sale 10/10 at 10am; and Cake will present a special New Years Eve concert at the Moore Theatre, on sale 10/9 at 12pm.
