The Bard Music Festival returns for its 32nd season this August, with an intensive two-week exploration of “Rachmaninoff and His World.” In twelve themed concert programs, Bard examines Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873–1943), perhaps the last great exponent of Russian Romanticism, who nevertheless embodied many contradictions.

The National Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director  Gianandrea Noseda and Executive Director Gary Ginstling, announces its classical  programming for the 2022–2023 season.  Bard SummerScape will return this year with eight weeks of live dance, theater, music, and opera in New York’s Hudson Valley, June 23–August 14, 2022. SummerScape 2022 presents the world premieres of new commissions in both dance and theater.

Ballet Theatre of Maryland will present Momentum at Maryland Hall (Feb 25-27) and PGCC Center for Performing Arts (Mar 12). Interlochen Arts Camp has announced the conductors and repertoire for the 2022 World Youth Symphony Orchestra, the program's flagship ensemble. 

The San Diego Symphony today announced its winter-spring 2022 concert season, offering 31 performances of classical and contemporary masterworks and chamber music from January 15 through May 28. Presented as “Hear Us Here,” the season will give the San Diego Symphony the opportunity to bring its music to a wider audience, with concerts performed at nine venues in the city and across the County, including the Symphony's newest venue, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

Acclaimed soloist Vladimir Khomyakov, who has performed with orchestras worldwide, joins the West Valley Symphony for its 2021-2022 season-opening performance at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21 at The Vista Center for the Arts, 15660 N. Parkway Place in Surprise.

The National Symphony Orchestra continues its Classical series with three subscription concerts this November, featuring works spanning from Bach to Bryce Dessner.
