The Ziegfeld Club, Inc., one of New York City's first performing arts charities to benefit women has announced that composer and lyricist Rona Siddiqui, whose autobiographical musical Salaam Medina Talse of a Halfghan will be workshopped at Playwrights Horizons this month, has been named the recipient of the fifth annual Billie Burke Ziegfeld Award (BBZA). Created to honor a female composer of musical theatre, the BBZA is a prestigious $10,000 cash grant. In addition, the recipient receives one year of artistic and professional mentorship from a prominent composer and a producer of musical theatre.

Eisemann Center Presents An Evening with Renée Elise Goldsberry at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson, Texas on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 7:30 pm in the Hill Performance Hall. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today that Renée Zellweger is set to receive the illustrious American Riviera Award in January 2020. Zellweger will be recognized for her many attributes to the art of film over the years, and most recently, her work as Judy Garland in LD Entertainment and Roadside Attractions' JUDY. The tribute will take place at the historic Arlington Theatre during the 35th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell welcome Renée Elise Goldsberry, winner of the Best Featured Actress Tony Award for her portrayal of Angelica Schuyler in the smash hit musical, Hamilton. Making her Cincinnati Pops debut, Goldsberry will perform three concerts with the Pops on September 13, 14, and 15, opening the Pops' 2019-20 season at Music Hall.

Colin Salmon, star of the James Bond film series, Netflix's Master of None and Syfy's Krypton, has been confirmed to join the cast of the Howard Zinn biopic, The Time Of Our Lies. Guest starring for one night on 2 August, Colin will play the lead role as the American historian, author and social activist, Howard Zinn. Daniel Benzali will star as Howard Zinn for the remainder of the run. With Trang Le and Jessye Romeo also joining the ensemble, The Time Of Our Lies is written by Bianca Bagatourian and directed by Che Walker, with movement by Maureen Fleming.
