Hampton Theatre Company to Present HEROES, 1/9-26

Three high-spirited World War I veterans confined to an old soldiers home seek to rise above their predicament and their limitations in the comedic and often touching 'Heroes,' the second play in the Hampton Theatre Company's 2013-2014 season in Quogue.

Running through November 10th at the charming Long Island venue in Quogue, each member of the cast was great in their respective roles.

The Hampton Theatre Company in Quogue will once again bring life to the 'off' season in the Hamptons beginning in October. The company will present four plays between October and next June which the company describes as plays 'chosen for the excellence of their writing, their thrilling theatricality, and their ability to entertain, engage and resonate with theater audiences.'

The Long Island premiere of 'The Drawer Boy,' Canadian playwright Michael Healey's award-winning play about two farmers whose lives are turned upside down when a young actor comes to visit, will be the third production of the 2012-2013 Hampton Theatre Company season. 'Other People's Money,' Jerry Sterner's seriously funny play about Wall Street buccaneers and their hapless victims, will be the first production of the new year for the Hampton Theatre Company in Quogue. A near cult hit (especially with the investment banking crowd) when it first appeared on the New York stage in 1989, 'Other People's Money' tells a cautionary as well as extremely entertaining tale that is as timely in the era of Bernie Madoff and the 1 percent as it was in the go-go '80s. 'Other People's Money' opens on Thursday, January 10, and runs for three weekends, though January 27, at the Quogue Community Hall.

Hampton Theatre Company Adds Extra Weekend of GOOD PEOPLE, Now thru 18

Due to Hurricane Sandy, the Hampton Theatre Company was forced to cancel all performances of its critically and popularly acclaimed production of David Lindsay-Abaire's 'Good People' through November 4. The company will be extending the run for an additional weekend with performances today, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon from tonight, November 8 through November 18.
