LAKE TAHOE DANCE FESTIVAL Returns For 7th Year

Celebrating its 7th Anniversary, the LAKE TAHOE DANCE FESTIVAL, founderartistic director Christin Hanna, will present a program of works by Agnes De Mille (a duet from her final work The Other performed by Stephen Hanna and Abi Stafford of New York City Ballet), and ballets by Constantine Baecher, Roya Carreras, Katherine Duke, Traci Finch, and Jacopo Godani.   Performances will take place set against the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Tahoe City, California and Truckee, California.

WingSpan Theatre Company Presents Staged Reading Of New Play THE HIGHER LOVE

Two impressionable actors, Salim and Lucy, land the roles of a lifetime: poet Khalil Gibran and his patron, Mary Haskell.  As the rehearsals progress, the actors grapple with their unpredictable characters, the meaning of love, and the stage kiss to end all. Offstage, a tragedy strikes the play's director, casting into doubt Gibran's and Haskell's lofty, if unrealized, ideals.  From infatuation to heartache to conviction, each character is tested in his/her quest to seize the higher love.

Art House Productions' Presents ACCESS JC FRIDAYS!

On June 1st, 2018, Art House Productions' JC Fridays will be focusing on accessibility in the arts! Jersey City's premiere quarterly arts festival features art events that take place in restaurants, galleries, stores and event spaces in almost every neighborhood of our great city. ACCESS JC FRIDAYS will showcase a variety of happenings including visual exhibitions, live music, performance acts and educational demonstrations, all showing work from artists with disabilities or offering accessible participation options.

BST Presents THE TROJAN WOMEN PROJECT In Repertory With CORIOLANUS

BST's 2018 repertory explores war and winning from opposite perspectives. As civil unrest threatens political upheaval, the war hero Coriolanus is driven to defend and then destroy his own country. Shakespeare's last tragedy takes a piercing look at men who cannot leave war behind. Performed as part of the Women's Voices Theater Festival, The Trojan Women Project explores the timeless story of The Trojan Women to illuminate modern women's relationships to sexuality, politics, and violence. This intersectional look at American women asks why our gender isn't enough to unite us and whether we are the losers in the American Dream.

American Conservatory Theater Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Featuring a lively cast of dozens, delightful music, gorgeous costumes, and those deliciously spooky ghosts, the Bay Area's favorite holiday tradition returns with American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.)'s celebrated production of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Now in its 40th year, this version of A Christmas Carol-adapted by Paul Walsh and Carey Perloff-stays true to the heart of Dickens's timeless story of redemption and brings a playful sensibility to his rich language. A Christmas Carol runs November 25-December 24, 2016 at A.C.T.'s Geary Theater (415 Geary Street, San Francisco). 

A.C.T.'s Master of Fine Arts Program Presents I'M THROUGH WITH LOVE This Week

American Conservatory Theater's Master of Fine Arts Program, Class of 2017, will present I'm Through with Love-a musical revue featuring a lineup of performances that encompass what it is to be in (and out of) love. Set against the backdrop of an art museum in 1959, patrons contemplate their love lives, conjure romantic fantasies, end torrid affairs, and forge new relationships. Performances of I'm Through with Love will take place this week, December 9-12, 2015 at The Garret at A.C.T.'s Geary Theater (415 Geary St., San Francisco).

Anthony Rodriguez to Participate in 2014 NALAC LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures- NALAC announced today the names of the participants for their 14th Annual NALAC Leadership Institute that will take place July 14-19, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. The Leadership Institute convenes Latino arts leaders for an intensive, one-week training in nonprofit arts management and leadership development. Anthony Rodriguez is one of the twenty-eight participants that will be part of the 2014 NALAC Leadership Institute.

A Noise Within Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 12/7-22

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues their family holiday tradition by presenting its production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, the ultimate tale of forgiveness, opening Saturday, December 7 and closing Sunday, December 22, 2013. This is the second year that ANW has presented the timeless holiday classic, once again accompanied by a special fundraiser event, "Fezziwig's Festive Holiday Tea" on December 8, which directly supports Classics Live! - ANW's education programs. The event will feature a live auction hosted by NBC4's Fritz Coleman.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, showcases the capabilities of its new state-of-the-art Pasadena venue with a production of Shakespeare's ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA, directed by ANW Producing Artistic Directors Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott, with original music by composer Laura Karpman, opening Saturday, March 3 and closing Sunday, May 13, 2012 (previews begin Saturday, February 25).

Susan Angelo Replaces Jeanie Hackett in A Noise Within's ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, showcases the capabilities of its new state-of-the-art Pasadena venue with a towering production of Shakespeare's ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA, directed by ANW Producing Artistic Directors Julia Rodriguez-Elliott and Geoff Elliott, with original music by composer Laura Karpman, opening Saturday, March 3 and closing Sunday, May 13, 2012 (previews begin Wednesday, February 29). This seminal tragedy is based on larger-than-life figures caught up in an empire-shattering dance of lust, love, politics and war. A 'Pay What You Can" date, which allows patrons to purchase tickets for what they can afford, is Thursday, March 1.

Girl Gone by Mac Wellman with direction by Paul Lazar, choreography by Annie-B Parson, with music composed and directed by Cynthia Hopkins marks the premier fall production at Marymount's Division of Fine Arts. The production will play 5 performances only; Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25 at the Theresa Lang Theatre.
