Full casting has been announced for the Orange County engagement of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation. Joining Jillian Mueller as Alex and Matthew Hydzik as Nick are Katie Webber as Tess, Kelly Felthous as Gloria, DeQuina Moore as Kiki, Jo Ann Cunningham as Hannah, David R. Gordon as Jimmy, Matthew Henerson as Harry and Christian Whelan in the role of C.C.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) will welcome Flashdance - The Musical, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, to Hobby Center from June 4 to 16.

The iStar Theatre Lab is currently work shopping two projects selected for the 2012 inaugural theatre lab in New York City: VEILS, a new play by Tom Coash with direction by Camille Saviola, and GAY BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, a new musical by Billy Butler and Dane Leeman directed by Rachel Klein. Starring Louis Hobson, who played the role of Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine in Next to Normal since the musical's pre-Broadway engagement at Arena Stage in 2008. The concert also featured the following cast members from the out of town run: Ashley Kate Adams (reprising her role from NYMF), Megan Kane, Wade Elkins, Derek Carley, Joshua Moore, Bradley Gale, Britt Mack and Maggie Politi. Directed by Igor Goldin and musically directed by Patrick Dorow. The book was written by Dane Leeman, who also narrated the night and Billy Butler. Music and lyrics by Billy Butler.
