Carla Hall and Chris Hayes Speak Out in Brooklyn Community Services' Subway Campaign

Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) launches its ONE Brooklyn Community MTA Campaign for the 3rd year on September 12 with Many Voices, Many Stories, a public service poster campaign seen on 36 Brooklyn subway stations featuring Carla Hall of ABC's The Chew, Chris Hayes of MSNBC's All In with Chris Hayes and a diverse group of Brooklyn notables speaking out about Brooklynites who are living in poverty and the impact of volunteering, advocacy and philanthropy to make a positive difference. Sponsored by Investors Bank, ONE Brooklyn Community Many Voices, Many Stories will be on view through October 12th.

PCPA to Close 53rd Season with August Wilson's FENCES

Closing PCPA's 53rd season is Fences, August Wilson's gripping Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning masterpiece that will swing onto the Marian Theatre stage from September 15 - October 1.

Tickets are now on sale for four of the most anticipated shows on Broadway this season: Bernadette Peters in HELLO, DOLLY!; Glenda Jackson, Laurie Metcalf, and Alison Pill in Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN; Joshua Henry, Jessie Mueller, and Renee Fleming in Rogers & Hammerstein's CAROUSEL; and Denzel Washington in Eugene O'Neill's THE ICEMAN COMETH. New Temptations Musical AIN'T TOO PROUD Extends at Berkeley Rep

Due to an overwhelming demand, Berkeley Rep has announced that the world premiere musical of Ain't Too Proud-The Life and Times of The Temptations will extend for two additional weeks. Originally scheduled to close on October 8, the popular musical will now run through Sunday, October 22.

Adrianna Hicks, Carla R. Stewart and Carrie Compere to Lead THE COLOR PURPLE on Tour; Cast, Dates Set!

Producers announced today the first North American tour and full casting of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of THE COLOR PURPLE. Performances will begin October 7, 2017 in Schenectady, New York at Proctors and the tour will have its official opening October 17, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland at The Hippodrome Theatre. Marion McClinton Steps in for Lou Bellamy at Capri Theater's FENCES Talk

Due to a conflict, Lou Bellamy will no longer be able to lead a discussion of Fences at the Capri Theater today, September 7. Denzel Washington's Oscar-winning adaptation of August Wilson's Fences will now be followed by a discussion led by actor and director Marion McClinton.

Breaking: Phillipa Soo and Marton Csokas Join Uma Thurman in Broadway's THE PARISIAN WOMAN

The producers of The Parisian Woman, the electrifying new play by 'House of Cards' creator Beau Willimon, announced today that Marton Csokas (Loving, The Lord of the Rings) and Tony Award nominee Phillipa Soo (Hamilton, Amelie) will join Uma Thurman, Josh Lucas and Blair Brown to complete the cast, playing the characters of 'Peter' and 'Rebecca' respectively. Mr. Csokas will be making his Broadway debut.

Negro Ensemble to Revive A SOLDIER'S PLAY as Part of 50th Season

For its 50th season, The Negro Ensemble Company, Inc. (NEC) has been presenting a retrospective of some of the troupe's signature works. The culminating event of this landmark season will be NEC's most famous and successful production, 'A Soldier's Play' by Charles Fuller, which NEC first presented in 1981 at Theatre Four.
