Goodspeed Musicals, the only two-time Tony Award winning theatre in the country, has announced that they will produce three new musicals at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn. Kicking off the season is Band Geeks!, the homegrown smash hit from Goodspeed's 2009 Festival of New Artists. This feel-good musical comedy will run from May 13 through June 6. The darling Radio Girl, based on the much loved classic Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, will charm audiences July 29 through August 22. The third new musical, which will be announced soon, is scheduled to run October 21 through November 14.

Michigan's long-running Barn Theatre has been forced to cancel the remaining productions in its 2009/2010 season due to budgetary constraints. The theatre, which has been a staple in Michigan, providing theatre for more than 60 years, has been home to some of Broadway's biggest names including Jonathan Larson, Marin Mazzie, and Tom Wopat.

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE), a panel of critics from media outlets around the state of Massachusetts, have announced the nominees for the IRNE Awards honoring the best of the 2009 Theatre Season.

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE'S world premiere of POP!, with book and lyrics by Maggie-Kate Coleman and music by Anna K. Jacobs, directed by Mark Brokaw, is now playing through December 19 only.

The production will make its debut at the Broadway Theatre in Catford from running November 4-29, with a West End transfer to the Players Theatre scheduled for. December 2. The production will run at the Players Theatre through January 2. This production will be the first revival of the show in the West End since 2002, where it played at the Prince of Wales Theatre for only eight months.
