TCG Launches New 'Rising Leaders of Color' Program

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the launch of the Rising Leaders of Color (RLC) Program. RLC is an expansion and re-envisioning of TCG's Young Leaders of Color Program (YLC) which launched in 2008.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) is pleased to announce the ten participants in the SPARK Leadership Program, one of the programs in TCG's Leading the Charge: Diversity & Inclusion Initiative, SPARK will create a more diverse theatre landscape by supporting the professional development of exceptional rising leaders of color who aim to take on executive leadership positions in artistic, management or producing roles at U.S. not-for-profit theatres.

REDCAT Presents 10th Annual New Original Works Festival, Now thru 8/10

This July REDCAT launches its tenth annual New Original Works Festival, a three-week celebration of Los Angeles' vibrant community of artists making work for the stage. Featuring nine new original works by regional dance, theater, music and multimedia artists, this year's festival will be held today, July 25, 2013 through August 10, 2013 with three distinct programs over three consecutive weekends. Individual tickets are $18 with student discounts available; a Festival Pass is available for $36, and offers audiences a chance to experience the full breadth of vision that is NOW.

Theatre of the Small-Eyed Bear, a new repertory theatre company formed by the union of Theatre of the Expendable, Small Pond Entertainment, and Cross-Eyed Bear Productions will present the ARTS IN ACTION series at The Workshop Theater (312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor) as part of Get S.O.M.! a month long repertory merger of three bold new plays, Squiggy and the Goldfish by Lenny Schwartz, Ore, or Or by Duncan Pflaster, and Mare Cognitum by David McGee (S.O.M.).
