Public Theater Extends FUN HOME with Judy Kuhn & Michael Cerveris Through 11/17

The Public Theater has announced a two-week extension for the world premiere musical FUN HOME, directed by Sam Gold and featuring music by Jeanine Tesori, with book and lyrics by Lisa Kron. Based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel, FUN HOME began performances on Monday, September 30 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, November 3. The musical will now run an additional two weeks to Sunday, November 17, with an official opening on Tuesday, October 22.

Signature Theatre has announced that tickets are now on sale for the World Premiere of CHERI, conceived, directed and choreographed by Martha Clarke. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs November 19 through December 22, 2013 with a December 8 opening night in The Irene Diamond Stage atThe Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced a second two-week extension for the critically acclaimed world premiere of Elevator Repair Service's ARGUENDO, directed by John Collins. ARGUENDO began performances on Tuesday, September 10, and was originally extended through October 13. The show officially opened on Tuesday, September 24, and will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, October 27.

Manhattan Theatre Club's sold out, critically acclaimed production of Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY begins its final week of performances tonight at 7:30 PM. The critically acclaimed play with gospel music directed by Trip Cullman currently plays at The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street) through Sunday, August 11. When it ends its run on that date, the production will have played 17 preview and 47 regular performances.

Manhattan Theatre Club has extended Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY through August 11, it was announced today by Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield. The critically acclaimed play with gospel music, directed by Trip Cullman, is currently playing at The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street). This is the final extension for the production as production prepares to move to Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.
