Manhattan Theatre Club's acclaimed production of The Other Place, the new play by Sharr White, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The limited engagement will play its final performance today, March 3. On that date, the show will have played 34 previews and 61 regular performances.

Previews began on Friday, February 15, for the Playwrights Horizons World Premiere of The Flick, a new play by Obie Award winner Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation at PH, The Aliens, her recent adaptation of Uncle Vanya). Directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Kin and The Big Meal at PH; Seminar and Picnic on Broadway), the production has an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 12 at 7PM and will play through Sunday, March 31 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street). Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of Picnic, in association with Darren Bagert and Martin Massman, closes today, Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). Since opening on Jan. 13, PICNIC has played 47 regular performances. It opened for previews on Dec. 14, 2012.

The panel will focus on the role of science in the play and will feature novelist Stefan Merrill Block, author of The Story of Forgetting; playwright Sharr White; neuroscientist Heather Berlin; and genetic counselor Jill Goldman.
