The Bechdels Will Hit the Road! Tony Nominated Director Sam Gold to Restage FUN HOME for National Tour

Producers Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman have announced that the coast-to-coast North American Tour of Fun Home, the twelve-time Tony Award nominated American musical based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel of the same name, will begin in the 2016 - 2017 Season.

Annie Baker's 2014 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, The Flick, returns to Off-Broadway this month, directed once again by Sam Gold and featuring Alex Hanna, Louisa Krause, Matthew Maher, and Aaron Clifton Moten, reprising their acclaimed performances. Previews began on May 5, with opening night set for tonight, May 18 at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street, corner of Seventh Avenue), and the show will play a 16-week limited engagement through Sunday, August 30.

The Public Theater remounts Elevator Repair Service's acclaimed THE SOUND AND THE FURY this spring. Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, presents the world premiere of 10 out of 12 by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns). The production, May 26-June 21, reunites the playwright with the Obie Award-winning director Les Waters, Artistic Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In 10 out of 12, a company of 14 is engaged in the very peculiar-and uniquely impossible-task of making a new play. Based on notes Washburn took during her past technical rehearsals, this Soho Rep. commission is a wry and absorbing look at how work forms us and deforms us.

Producers Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman are pleased to announce that Fun Home, the Award-winning American musical based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel of the same name, took in $392,450.00 at the box office Tuesday, April 28, in the wake of the show's twelve Tony nominations, making it the highest wrapping day of a musical in the history of the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street).

The Public Theater Extends Elevator Repair Service's THE SOUND AND THE FURY

The Public Theater announced a two-week extension today for Elevator Repair Service's acclaimed THE SOUND AND THE FURY. Directed by John Collins, THE SOUND AND THE FURY begins performances in The Public's Martinson Theater on Thursday, May 14 with an official press opening on Thursday, May 21. The show will now run an additional two weeks through Saturday, June 27. THE SOUND AND THE FURY will mark the third collaboration between The Public and Elevator Repair Service, having previously presented Gatz and Arguendo.
