Producers Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman have announced that the coast-to-coast North American Tour of Fun Home, the twelve-time Tony Award nominated American musical based on Alison Bechdel's graphic novel of the same name, will begin in the 2016 - 2017 Season. For the fourth time, Tony Award nominated director Sam Gold will completely restage his acclaimed production, which is currently playing to sold-out houses in-the-round at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th St.). For this National Tour, the production will be restaged for proscenium theaters, as was done in its sold-out run at the Public Theater's Newman and Shiva Theaters. With music by five-time Tony Award nominee Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics by current double Tony Award nominee Lisa Kron, Fun Home held its official Opening Night on Broadway on April 19, 2015.

"We are thrilled by the response to Fun Home, especially from audience members from around the country, and now tour presenters" said producers Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson, and Barbara Whitman. "We know that Sam Gold and the creative team will create yet another exciting production of this extraordinary musical for audiences across the country."

The Broadway cast of Fun Home includes Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris, four-time Tony Award nominee Judy Kuhn, Tony Award nominee Beth Malone, Tony Award nominee Sydney Lucas, Tony Award nominee Emily Skeggs, Roberta Colindrez, Zell Steele Morrow, Joel Perez, Oscar Williams, Lauren Patten, Gabriella Pizzolo, Marrick Smith, Jim Stanek, and Nicole Van Giesen.

Fun Home introduces us to Alison at three different ages, revealing memories of her uniquely dysfunctional family - her mother, brothers and volatile, brilliant, enigmatic father - that connect with her in surprising new ways. A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes.

Fun Home is nominated for twelve 2015 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical (Michael Cerveris), Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical (Beth Malone), Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (Judy Kuhn), Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (Sydney Lucas), Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (Emily Skeggs), Best Direction of a Musical (Sam Gold), Best Book of a Musical (Lisa Kron), Best Score (Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron), Best Scenic Design of a Musical (David Zinn), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Ben Stanton), and Best Orchestrations (John Clancy).

The Public Theater production of Fun Home, which opened in October 2013, was named Best Musical by the New York Drama Critics Circle, and received the OBIE, Lucille Lortel, Outer Critics Circle and Off Broadway Alliance Awards in the 2013-2014 season.

The creative team of Fun Home also includes Danny Mefford (Choreography), David Zinn (Set and Costume Design), Ben Stanton (Lighting Design), Kai Harada (Sound Design), Chris Fenwick (Music Direction) and John Clancy (Orchestrations).

Fun Home is produced on Broadway by Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman, along with Carole Shorenstein Hays, Tom Casserly, Paula Marie Black, Latitude Link, Terry Schnuck/Jack Lane, The Forstalls, Nathan Vernon, Mint Theatricals, Elizabeth Armstrong, JAM Theatricals and Delman Whitney.
