Producer Jeffrey Finn announced today that the new Broadway comedy An Act of God starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jim Parsons recouped its $2.9 million capitalization in just 10 weeks. The critically acclaimed play is the first Broadway production of the 2015-16 season to recoup its initial investment. The strictly limited engagement will play through Sunday, August 2 at Broadway's Studio 54 (254 West 54 Street).

Maybe Jim Parsons really is God, after all.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) just announced the cast of the Off-Broadway premiere production of Pulitzer Prize finalist Stephen Karam's The Humans, directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, as part of the 50th Anniversary Season. 

The Public Theater will soon stage CYMBELINE as the second show of The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park season at the Delacorte. Directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan and featuring Hamish Linklater as Posthumus Leonatus/Cloten and Lily Rabe as Imogen, CYMBELINE begins performances on Thursday, July 23 and runs through Sunday, August 23, with an official press opening on Monday, August 10. A month after FUN HOME's Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron made history at the 2015 Tony Awards, the Broadway production has taken a look back at the big night in a new celebratory montage, titled 'See It To Be It.' Check it out below!

Based on notes Washburn took during her past technical rehearsals, this Soho Rep. commission is a wry and absorbing look at how work forms us and deforms us.
