Wagner College Theatre is now accepting applications for the 2027 Stanley Drama Award, offering a $2,000 prize for original plays and musicals. The award, established in 1957, supports emerging playwrights with works that have not been professionally produced.

The top prize of $2,000.00 has been offered annually to an original full-length play, musical, or one-act play sequence that has not been professionally produced or received trade book publication.

The red carpet awards ceremony celebrates the DC area's vibrant and diverse theatre industry and recognizes the outstanding work of over 200 nominees and theatre-makers.
