The second show in The Filigree Theatre's special Fifth Anniversary Season, “Photograph 51,” written by Anna Ziegler, will start Thursday, Jan. 25 and continue through Sunday, Jan. 28 starting at 8 p.m. each night, with a 3 p.m. Sunday matinee, at the Factory on 5th (3409 E. 5th St., Austin, TX 78702).

Sophocles Antigone undergoes no less pleasant a fate in this excellent production. How lucky was I this Friday the 13th? Much more so than Sophocles’ ANTIGONE. Just as she has for centuries, ANTIGONE is working her way through another version of a doomed demise in David Rush's adaptation of Filigree Theatre's production of this classic Greek tragedy.

Austin-based independent theatre company, The Filigree Theatre, are back with their Fifth Anniversary Season entitled 'The Woman in the Story,' beginning with their Fall production of 'Antigone,' written by Sophocles and adapted by David Rush.

Skimble Skamble Productions presents the world premiere of Bringer of Doom, a daring, debauched, and (at times) otherworldly comedy written by Joe Thristino.

In the 1970s when legendary dancer, Rudolf Nureyev, and famed scion of the Wyeth dynasty, Jamie Wyeth, came together to engage in a series of portrait sittings that would extend over the next two decades, they ignited a volatile, probing, and passionate friendship that was to last until Nureyev’s death in 1993. The interaction of these two artistic geniuses, their sparring, their seeking answers to the mystery of artistic creation is told with penetrating honesty and sharp wit by playwright David Rush in his 2014 work, NUREYEV’S EYES, which Portland’s Good Theater brings the tale to life in a perfectly calibrated production, directed by James Noel Hoban.

Following a successful return to live theater in 2021 after the COVID-19 crisis darkened stages around the world, Good Theater has announced the schedule for the 2022/2023 season. This season marks Good Theater’s 20th anniversary, and promises to be a yearlong celebration with plenty of laughter, music, and, of course, good theater.

Celebrating its 5th year, the Jewish Play Contest continues to encourage a new generation of playwrights to create and develop scripts that reflect the 21st-century Jewish experience in all its complexities, and to ensure that those scripts, once fully-developed, make their way onto major stages.
