Woodshed Collective has announced the '20/20 Reading Series,' a series of readings taking place in 2017 of anti-fascist and political plays speaking to the current political climate.

The current Broadway revival of Les Miserables, which opened in March 2014 and is scheduled to play through September 4th, celebrates its 1,000th performance today. The current revival has played more than twice as long as the 2006 revival, which closed after just 483 performances. The original 1987 production 6,680 performances and is the fifth-longest running production in Broadway history.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announces nine awards granted from their National Fund for New Musicals, a major funding program to support NAMT member not-for-profit theatres in their collaborations with writers to create, develop and produce new musicals. Now in its seventh year, the Fund will provide grants totaling $46,000 to ten organizations across the country.

Both musicals will be directed by Jack Cummings III.
