Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in Haydn's Symphony No. 49, La passione; the Orchestra's first performance of John Adams's The Wound-Dresser, with baritone Thomas Hampson, The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence, as soloist; Schubert's Symphony in B minor, Unfinished; and Berg's Three Orchestral Pieces, Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m., and Saturday, January 16, at 8:00 p.m.

Morris, artistic director of the Ojai Music Festival and Ojai's 2009 music director eighth blackbird have announced the final programming for the 2009 Ojai Music Festival, which takes place from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, June 14, 2009. This season, the four-day Festival, which for six decades has become well known for its fearlessness in championing pioneering musical ideas and personalities, pushes the envelope again with programming that reflects the qualities that have made eighth blackbird a growing musical phenomenon-genre-defying variety in wildly collaborative and visually dramatic presentations.

On Thursday Lincoln Center unveiled the newly refurbished Alice Tully Hall. The inaugural performance at the hall will be this Sunday. The venue will be the first to reopen to the public since the multi-year renovation plan for the entire campus. Alice Tully Hall has been closed for nearly two years during this construction.
