Sudacas Theater, a new Latino American theater company has announced that it will present IMPLICATIONS OF COHABITATION, a new heartfelt comedy written by Vanessa Verduga about the implications of one man's life choices after his wife dies and he attempts to reconnect with his three adult children. The production, which begins previews on Friday, August 5th at Theater Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street), will have it's official opening on Friday, August 12th at 8:00PM and is directed by Argentinian director Leni Mendez. Greece's most prominent film director of the post-1968 era, Theo Angelopoulos (1935–2012) was a master cinema stylist. His investigations into history and politics, tyranny and resistance, and spiritual anomie and emotional devastation place him on equal footing with filmmakers like Andrei Tarkovsky, Bernardo Bertolucci, and Wim Wenders. Today, at a time when Greece has struggled with impending economic collapse, and as the country's refugee crisis has worsened, with displaced populations fleeing war in the Middle East and massing on its borders, the themes of Angelopoulos's cinema are pressing once again. Museum of the Moving Image will present Eternity and History: The Cinema of Theo Angelopoulos, a complete retrospective of the director's career—the first in the United States in 25 years—from July 8 through 24, 2016. The retrospective will also be presented at the Harvard Film Archive in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from July 15 through August 22. The presentation of the retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image was made possible with support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce.

A rare revival of Orpheus Descending by Tennessee Williams will run for a limited engagement, April 23-May 14, at St. John's Lutheran Church, one of the oldest buildings in Greenwich Village. Directed by Austin Pendleton, the production features a 16-person cast lead by Irene Glezos, Thomas Beaudoin and Beth Bartley. Williams's modern version of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice opened on Broadway in 1957 and was revived in 1989 in a celebrated production directed by Sir Peter Hall and starring Vanessa Redgrave. It has rarely, if ever, been produced in New York since.

The Dramatic Emotion of Ernest Hemingway comes to The NEW Caldwell Theatre in the form of a new stage adaptation of the Hemingway classic, The Old Man and the Sea. Originally produced at the Long Wharf Theatre, Caldwell will produce only the second production world wide.

The Red Fern Theatre Company announces that David Feldshuh's Miss Evers' Boys will run March 19 - April 5, 2009 at the Shell Theater in the Times Square Arts Building. The Red Fern's third show of the 2008-2009 'Season of Secrets' will be directed by Artistic Director Melanie Moyer Williams.
