Back in 1989, the Theater Offensive was started because the world needed a theatrical voice, a theater that BOLDLY put our lives out there-our varied roots, sexualities and genders. For 25 years, the group has vivaciously displayed its stories and has sculpted Boston into a hub for vibrant queer theater. They have a LOT to celebrate.
On May 19th, the theatre asks that you strap on your fetish, bring your creative, kinky minds to help CELEBRATE 25 years BOLD!
Featuring performances by:
Broadway and Tony Award-winner Billy Porter from Kinky Boots
the delicious burlesque artist La Chica Boom,
the talented David Parker's The Bang Group,
and the glamorous drag artist Shequida.
Join Theater Offensive in saluting the immortal Joan Parker, who first dreamed up climACTS! In celebration of Joan's BOLD vision, the theatre will be rolling out the Joan Parker Fierce Fund to benefit True Colors Out Youth Theater. Fabulously talented sons, Dan and David Parker, will be there to join in a celebration of her life and flaunt their charm and talent.
climACTS! BOLD is set for Monday, May 19 at the Wilbur Theater at 6:00PM VIP/Sponsor Reception, followed by 7:00PM General Admission. PURCHASE TICKETS TODAY. VIP tickets are $175. General Admission tickets are $100.
