Marc Blitzstein's The Cradle Will Rock, the inaugural show of New York City Center's new Encores! Off-Center series will play for five performances through July 13 at City Center. The production stars Danny Burstein, Eisa Davis, Raul Esparza, Peter Friedman, Aidan Gemme, Judy Kuhn, David Margulies, Martin Moran, Michael Park, Robert Petkoff, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Anika Noni Rose, Matthew Saldivar and Henry Stram. Playing on Air, a new public radio show that features short stage plays performed by great American actors, is now available online for listening, streaming and downloading.

Just last night, the Signature Theatre Annual Gala celebration honored 2012-13 Residency One Playwright David Henry Hwang. Guests came together to pay tribute to the rich and varied body of work of David Henry Hwang, with special participation from B.D. Signature Theatre has announced that the Signature Theatre Annual Gala celebration will take place on Monday, February 11th and will honor 2012-13 Residency One Playwright David Henry Hwang.

Casting is announced for Westport Country Playhouse's Script in Hand playreading of "Over the River and Through the Woods" by Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro, a comedy about a single, Italian-American guy who visits his beloved, though annoying, grandparents every Sunday for dinner. Scheduled for one-night-only on Monday, November 12, 7 p.m., the cast includes Matthew Amendt, Nicole Lowrance, David Marguiles, Frances Sternhagen, Maria Tucci, and Lenny Wolpe. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse artistic advisor.

The Second Annual Gold Coast International Film Festival presented by the Great Neck Arts Center, with the Town of North Hempstead as Founding Sponsor, will present seven days and nights of bold, dynamic films, programs, panels, tributes, conversations, awards and festivities on Long Island's North Shore. GCIFF gets underway Monday, October 22 with two pre-festival events followed by its Opening Night Gala on Wednesday, and then runs at the Clearview Cinemas in the communities of Manhasset, Roslyn, Great Neck and Port Washington through Sunday, October 28, 2012.

TheaterWorks will present a summer-time World Premiere based on the unforgettable and deliciously entertaining memoir, I loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti by Guilia Melucci, adapted for the stage by Jacques Lamarre. TheaterWorks' Interim Artistic Director, Rob Ruggiero directs yet another new work for Hartford audiences in this heartwarming and comedic cook-in, which answers the question, "Is the cure for a broken heart … pasta?" I loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti runs June I through July 8, 2012 and is the 4th play of TheaterWorks' 2011-2012 Season (replacing Time Stands Still by David Margulies).

HURT VILLAGE runs through March 18, 2012 and is the inaugural production in the The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Company's new home The Pershing Square Signature Center.
