The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, presents the New York premiere of Nature Theater of Oklahoma's Life and Times Episodes 4.5 & 5, as part of its acclaimed Crossing the Line 2013 festival, which also commissioned Episode 5. Nature Theater of Oklahoma's epic Life and Times series is a sixteen-hour, multi-art serial created from a single phone conversation with a 34-year-old woman, who tells her whole life story up to the present day.

Award-winning theatre company, Son of Semele Ensemble (SOSE), will present the West Coast premiere of Civilization (all you can eat), by playwright Jason Grote. Directed by SOSE ensemble member Don Boughton and choreographed by Ken Roht, Civilization opens October 11th at the Son of Semele Theater.

Disney XD has ordered a third season of its #1 animated series 'Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man,' it was announced this weekend by David Levine, Vice President and General Manager, Disney XD Worldwide, and Jeph Loeb, Executive Vice President and Head of Marvel Television. The series follows the thrilling adventures of Spider-Man and four other teen heroes who join S.H.I.E.L.D.'s exclusive training program to become the ultimate super heroes.

Disney XD will transform to Disney Fandom, a three-night programming event that celebrates fans and showcases programming from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and more TUESDAY, JULY 30 - THURSDAY, AUGUST 1 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT - 1:00 a.m., ET/PT) on the Disney XD platform. Five teachers have been selected for Center Theatre Group's 2013 Theatre Educator Fellowship program, it was announced recently at a celebratory dinner for the opening of August Wilson's "Joe Turner's Come and Gone" presented at the CTG/Mark Taper Forum. Disney XD, Marvel Entertainment, First Book and ABC Owned Television Stations have teamed up to champion children's literacy through the 'Reading With: Marvel Comics Close-Up' initiative, it was announced today by David Levine, Vice President and General Manager, Disney XD Worldwide, and Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Executive Vice President - Head of Television. A Saturday, January 12 event at the Burbank Public Library will showcase the initiative designed to encourage reading and includes the donation of more than 210,000 books to several communities across the country.
