Geva Theatre Center's 2014 Fielding Studio Series kicks off with Black Pearl Sings! by Frank Higgins. This production comes to Geva from The Kitchen Theatre Company in Ithaca and is directed by Sara Lampert Hoover. The production begins performances tonight, January 23 and runs in the Fielding Nextstage through February 9.

Fresh off a successful run in Ithaca, the Kitchen Theatre Company's production of Black Pearl Sings! is moving to the Geva Theatre Center in Rochester. It will be the first play in Geva's 2014 Fielding Studio Series, devoted to the work of contemporary playwrights.

The Kitchen Theatre Company's 23rd Season continues with a play set in the Great Depression, featuring a gripping story and gorgeous singing. The Kitchen is pleased to be producing the regional premiere of Black Pearl Sings! by Frank Higgins this December, with preview performances on December 4, 5, and 6. Opening Night is December 7th, and the play closes December 22.

Woodie King Jr's New Federal Theatre presents the second play of its ambitious 44th season, Richard Abrons' Every Day a Visitor, begininng performances today, November 2nd at The Clurman Theater (at Theater Row) and continuing through December 14th. Opening Night is set for Thursday November 14th.
