Westport Country Playhouse to Honor A. R. Gurney and Arthur Levitt at A PERFECT PARTY Gala, 9/22

Playwright A. R. ("Pete") Gurney, who has had 14 of his plays staged at Westport Country Playhouse, will be celebrated at the Playhouse's annual fundraiser, "A Perfect Party: A Gala Evening Honoring A. R. Gurney," on the evening of Monday, September 22. Westport's Arthur Levitt, a valued trustee and longtime supporter of the Playhouse, will also be honored with the Playhouse Leadership Award.

Westport Country Playhouse's NORA to Begin Performances on 7/15

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the sexy and suspenseful story of love, lies, and blackmail, "Nora," July 15 through August 2, adapted by Academy Award-winning director/writer Ingmar Bergman from Henrik Ibsen's masterwork, "A Doll's House." Directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director, the work is translated by Frederick J. Marker and Lise-Lone Marker.

Directed by Mark Lamos, and co-conceived by Lamos, Wayne Barker, and Deborah Grace Winer, the show is based on an original idea and production for 92nd Street Y's Lyrics & Lyricists, New York, NY. Celebrating its 84th season, Westport Country Playhouse was recently named Theater Company of the Year by The Wall Street Journal.

Single Tickets to Westport Country Playhouse's 2014 Season On Sale 3/4

With less than two months before the curtain goes up on Westport Country Playhouse's 2014 Season, single tickets will go on sale, beginning Tuesday, March 4, at noon. John Tillinger to Direct Westport Country Playhouse's THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE, 8/19-9/6

Veteran Broadway director and Tony Award nominee John Tillinger will return to Westport Country Playhouse to direct another of Alan Ayckbourn's comedies, 'Things We Do for Love,' August 19 - September 6. Tillinger has directed other Ayckbourn plays for Westport, including 'Relatively Speaking,' 'Time of My Life,' and 'How the Other Half Loves.' He also directed the theater's productions of A. R. Gurney's 'Sylvia' and 'Children,' as well as a Script in Hand playreading of Gurney's 'The Golden Age.'

Rattlestick's F*CKING GOOD PLAYS! (FESTIVAL, IV) to Begin 12/16

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announced the 2013 F*ck!ng Good Plays (festival, IV) -three (3) days of new play readings by four (4) of today's hottest playwrights. The festival, to be presented at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place - off 7th Avenue South between West 11th & Perry Streets) will begin on Monday the 16th, and continue on Wednesday the 18th and Thursday the 19th. Playwrights include: Denis Johnson, Basil Kreimendahl, Michael Laurence, and Jen Silverman. The readings will be directed by David Kennedy, Lisa Peterson, Francine Volpe, and Davis McCallum.

Revlon Names New President and Chief Executive Officer

Revlon, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors elected Lorenzo Delpani as Revlon's President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2013. Mr. Delpani replaces David Kennedy, who served briefly as Revlon's Interim Chief Executive Officer and who will continue to serve as Revlon's Vice Chairman. Mr. Delpani was also appointed to serve as a member of Revlon's Board of Directors, as well as the Board of Revlon's wholly owned operating subsidiary, Revlon Consumer Products Corporation.

Revlon Acquires The Colomer Group

Revlon, Inc. announced that its wholly owned operating subsidiary, Revlon Consumer Products Corporation ('RCPC' or the 'Company'), completed its previously-disclosed acquisition of The Colomer Group ('TCG'), including the Revlon Professional business, for a cash purchase price of $665 million after giving effect to purchase price adjustments set forth in the share purchase agreement. The Company financed this acquisition with proceeds from the previously-disclosed $700 million upsizing of its bank term loan facility.

Workshop Theater Premieres Lou-Lou Igbokwe's IYOM, Now thru 10/12

WORKSHOP THEATER COMPANY has announced the world premiere production of Lou-Lou Igbokwe's IYOM, directed by Jessica Creane. IYOM will play a four-week limited engagement at WorkShop Theater Company's Main Stage (312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor). Performances begin tonight, September 19 and continue Saturday, October 12. Opening Night is Saturday, September 21 (8 p.m.). Press are invited to all performances.
