WHITE CHRISTMAS Will Play At The Dominion Theatre This Christmas

Jamie Wilson, Mark Goucher, Gavin Kalin and Kevin McCollum will present the spectacular new Made at Curve production of Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS at London's Dominion Theatre from Friday 15 November 2019 Saturday 4 January 2020, with a press night on Monday 25 November 2019. Tickets on sale Monday 25 March 2019 at 10.00am.

Ophelia's Jump Presents HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH

Ophelia's Jump Productions (OJP) continues its successful 7th season with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, performed at the Ophelia's Jump Studio, located at 2009 Porterfield Way, Suite H, in Upland, from March 22 through April 14, 2019. Having just completed their production of Venus in Fur by David Ives, OJP continues to explore gender identity under the direction of Associate Artistic Director Caitlin Lopez.

Syracuse Stage Cold Read Festival Gets Hotter In Second Year

All plays were once new plays. That's the idea behind Syracuse Stage's Cold Read Festival of New Plays. Now in its second season, the Cold Read festival has five different events featuring some of the freshest voices writing for theater today, both nationally and locally, scheduled for Thursday, March 7, through Sunday, March 10.

A Clear View: A Series of One Acts is a series of three one act plays which cover the range of theater from comedy to drama so you'll be sure to leave the theater with a fulfilling experience. The show runs March 1, 2; 8, 9; 15, 16, 2019 at 8:00pm with a matinee on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00pm. Tickets are $12.00 for any seat, and can be reserved by calling (216) 447-0443. James Stevenson Prize For Comedic Short Plays Returns For Second Year

Playing on Air today announced the return of the James Stevenson Prize for Comedic Short Plays. Founded last year, the Stevenson Prize honors bold, original comedies that embody the spirit and wit of the late New Yorker cartoonist James Stevenson. The competition, sponsored by Stevenson's wife Josie Merck, offers one of the nation's largest prizes specifically for short plays: first prize of $7,500 and a full audio production, second prize of $2,000, and third prize of $1,000.

Barrington Stage Announces INTO THE WOODS & Five World Premieres for 2019 Season

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in the Berkshires (Pittsfield, MA) under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, announced today its 25th Anniversary season, which will feature four world premieres, including the new musical from BSC's Musical Theatre Lab, Fall Springs by Niko Tsakalakos and Peter Sinn Nachtrieb; America v. 2.1: The Sad Demise & Eventual Extinction of The American Negro by Stacey Rose; American Underground by Brent Askari; and Ragtag Theatre's Hansel and Gretel, commissioned by BSC.

Christopher Burney Named New Artistic Director of New York Stage and Film

New York Stage and Film announced today that, following a nationwide search, Christopher Burney will become its next Artistic Director. Additionally, New York Stage and Film's longtime Associate Artistic Director, Liz Carlson, has been promoted to the newly created position of Artistic Producer.

BWW Review: Upstream Hosts A Merry Debate in WITTENBERG

The Upstream Theater has opened a lovely production of Wittenberg, by David Davalos. It is a 'tragical-comical-historical play', a genre first mentioned by Polonius and rarely seen thereafter. (I guess Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead would fill the bill.) Here in Wittenberg we meet two great figures, Martin Luther and Dr. John Faustus, both professors at the University. Attending their lectures is an ardent young Danish student, Hamlet.
