The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere of CAN YOU FORGIVE HER? by two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Gina Gionfriddo (Becky Shaw and Rapture, Blister, Burn) and directed by Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (A Little Night Music and Smart People). Performances begin tonight, March 25, and continue through April 24, 2016 at the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. 

The Farm Theater will present Bullpen Sessions: Producing For Your Community with special guests Ty Jones, Artistic Director of the Classical Theatre of Harlem, and Lou Moreno, Artistic Director of INTAR on Tuesday, April 5 from 6-8pm at Punto Space (325 West 38th Street). 'The locusts have no king, yet all of them march in rank' - Proverbs 30:27. INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) continues its acclaimed 2015 - '16 season with the Off-Broadway premiere of Locusts Have No King by J. Julian Christopher, beginning Friday, March 18th and continuing through April 24th only. Opening Night is set for Wednesday, March 30th. David Mendizábal will direct a cast that includes John J. Concado, Dan Domingues, David Grimm and Liam Torres.

The Acting Company (Margot Harley, Co-Founder and Producer), America's best known touring repertory theater, will honor Emmy Award-winner Tom Fontana, educator and student mentor Paul Fontana, and Acting Company Co-founder and Producer Margot Harley at a Gala Benefit evening on Monday, November 9th atCapitale (130 Bowery - between Broome & Grand Sts). Both of the gentlemen will each be presented with the Warburg Humanitarian Award for their outstanding philanthropic endeavors on behalf of children, education and the arts, while Ms. Harley will be saluted for her 43 years of leadership and achievement as she steps down as Producer of The Acting Company.  

'Desire' directed by Michael Wilson will be performed at 59E59 Theaters through October 10th. Six plays based on the short stories of Tennessee Williams are wonderfully adapted and feature outstanding performances by The Acting Company.

59E59 Theaters will welcome The Acting Company to the 2015/2016 5A Season with the US premiere of DESIRE An Evening of Plays Based on Six Stories by Tennessee Williams. Directed by Michael Wilson, DESIRE features new plays written by John Guare, Beth Henley, Marcus Gardley, Rebecca Gilman, David Grimm and Elizabeth Egloff. DESIRE begins performances on Wednesday, September 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 11. Opening Night is Thursday, September 10 at 7 PM. Ten playwrights have won the New York Community Trust Helen Merrill Playwright Awards, honoring established and emerging writers for the theater. The winners are currently producing work on topics ranging from basement dwelling families in the middle of the 21st century to the 19th century all-black community that faced destruction in order to create Central Park.

 Margot Harley, who co-founded The Acting Company with John Houseman in 1972, will step down as its Producer effective the end of this year.  The Acting Company began with the first graduating class of Juilliard's Drama Division, which included Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers.  "They were classically trained, superbly talented and had worked together for four years," stated Ms. Harley.

59E59 Theaters has announced the line up of plays for their second 5A Season. This year, the 5A Season features four tremendous new plays and one brand new musical.

The Lark Play Development Center named five New York City-based playwrights as Playwrights' Workshop Fellows for the 2014-15 season. The group spans a wide range of backgrounds and professional experiences and will meet regularly throughout the year to develop new plays.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2013 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $1,108,000, allow 39 productions extra time in the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, helping to extend the life of the play after its first run.
