Career Transition For Dancers just held its 30TH ANNIVERSARY PEARL JUBILEE: A STAR-STUDDED RETROSPECTIVE last night, September 28, in association with the Lloyd E. Rigler - Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation, at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6 & 7 Aves) NYC followed by 'Supper With The Stars' in the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton New York.

Manny Kladitis, Jeffrey Chrzczon, Terry Schnuck, Kathleen K. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, today announced the cast for the New York Premiere of the hit comedy whodunit Shear Madness. This open-ended Off-Broadway engagement will begin performances October 22nd at New World Stages/Stage 4 (340 West 50th Street).  

Producers Manny Kladitis, Jeffrey Chrzczon, Terry Schnuck, Kathleen K. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Greg Schaffert, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, and The Shubert Organization, in association with Erach Screwvala and David Gersten, will present the New York Premiere of the hit comedy whodunit Shear Madness. A playful, exuberant and musical adaptation of Gertrude Stein's existential, modernist children's book The World Is Round will be performed this summer at The Mill: Arts, Letters, and Numbers in Averill Park, New York (east of Albany). THE WORLD IS ROUND IS ROUND IS ROUND is a music-theater piece chronicling the adventures of a girl named Rose in her quest to get 'there'-to the top of a mountain. It is adapted and directed by Karin Coonrod with music by Gina Leishman, who Time Out New York called 'one of New York's most versatile composers.' The work will premiere in August 2013 at The Mill before traveling to New York and other cities.

Edmund Gaynes, in association with David Gersten, will present Loni Ackerman, Brad Bradley Gene Castle, and Karla Shook in TIN PAN ALLEY (The Original iTunes), which began an open-ended Off-Broadway engagement February 25th at Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues). Opening Night is tonight, March 19th (7pm). TIN PAN ALLEY will run 75 minutes.

Four Things Productions opened the special, one-night-only staged reading of Matthew Lombardo's (High, Looped) one-woman show, Tea at Five, starring Charles Busch (The Divine Sister, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife) as Katharine Hepburn. The evening, directed by Rob Ruggiero (High, Looped) played the Lucille Lortel Theatre and benefits The Ali Forney Center. The evening, directed by Rob Ruggiero (High, Looped) is set for Monday, November 28th, 2011 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street), and will benefit The Ali Forney Center. Daryl Roth and Carl Siciliano (Executive Director, The Ali Forney Center) will introduce the event.

Tea at Five is an intimate look at Katharine Hepburn, at home, in her Fenwick estate in old Saybrook, Connecticut. The play takes place in 1983 after Hepburn was injured in a car crash. The accident affords the now legendary star an opportunity to reflect on her turbulent childhood, the triumphs and failures of her career and her heart-breaking romance with Spencer Tracy.
