Photo Flash: In Rehearsal with the Company of West End's SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE!

Rehearsals began this week for the World Premiere stage adaptation of Shakespeare in Love, bringing together one of the largest companies ever assembled for a play in the West End. The 28-strong cast includes a number of young actors and actor-musicians who will be making their professional debuts.

Lyric Hammersmith's CINDERELLA Begins November 24

This Christmas, the Lyric Hammersmith brings one of the most enchanting of all stories to life as Olivier Award-winning Artistic Director Sean Holmes directs his first ever pantomime: Cinderella. Joining the cast alongside West End stars Julie Atherton (Avenue Q, Noel Coward; Sister Act, UK tour) and Steven Webb (Oliver!, London Palladium; The History Boys, Wyndham's) will be celebrated actress, comedian and broadcaster Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake-Off, BBC; Eurobeat, West End/UK tour).

Original cast members Michael Crawford and Danielle Hope both recently departed the West End production of THE WIZARD OF OZ, and have been replaced by Over the Rainbow finalist Sopie Evans and Russell Grant and Dorothyand the Wizard respectively. Both Michael Crawford and Danielle Hope will both depart the West End production of THE WIZARD OF OZ on February 5, 2012. Both have been with the show since the beginning, and audiences had been following the yellow brick road over the rainbow to see Crawford (as the Wizard) and Danielle Hope (as Dorothy), winner of BBC TV's Over the Rainbow, at The London Palladium. But before they leave, the cast celebrated Crawford's 70th birthday at a recent curtain call.

Joining Danielle Hope (BBC TV's Over the Rainbow winner) in the cast are Michael Crawford (Professor Marvel/The Wizard of Oz), Edward Baker-Duly (Hickory/Tin Man), David Ganly (Zeke/Cowardly Lion), Paul Keating (Hunk/Scarecrow), Emily Tierney (Glinda), and Hannah Waddingham (Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West) will be joined by: Sophie Evans (Alternate Dorothy), Stephen Scott (Uncle Henry/Ensemble, first cover Professor Marvel/The Wizard of Oz), and Helen Walsh (Aunt Em/Munchkin Barrister/Ensemble).

On Saturday, 16th July, Hope appeared on BBC1?s Tonight's the Night at 7.10pm, where she helped one young fan realise her ambition of singing ‘Over The Rainbow', as they performed together on the show. Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE WIZARD OF OZ Cast Recording Gets US Release Today

The 2011 London Palladium cast recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber's stunning new production of The Wizard Of Oz is currently available digitally and will be in stores June 28th through Decca Broadway in America. This 24 track set includes all the much-loved songs from the Oscar-winning movie score by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, plus new songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
