With text by Stew and music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, the team behind the Tony Award-wining musical Passing Strange, which premiered at The Public in 2003, this world premiere musical is directed by Joanna Settle. THE TOTAL BENT officially opened on Wednesday, May 25 and was originally extended to Sunday, June 19. It has now been extended an additional week to Sunday, June 26.

SPACE on Ryder Farm, the non-profit artist residency program located on Ryder Farm, an idyllic 200 year-old working organic farm in Brewster, New York announced its 2016 season for The Working Farm, Family Residency, Creative Solutions Symposium and Artistic Residency programs at The Players Club. Last year's staged reading of Motherhood Out Loud was so popular that Matrix Theatre Company has brought it back for four performances over Mother's Day weekend. Performances for this limited engagement run are May 6 - 8, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 3pm at Matrix Theatre located at 2730 Bagley in the heart of southwest Detroit.
