The David Bowie Hepzikat Funky Velvet Flarney Solstice Spectacular, Live...From Space!(David Bowie's Christmas Special 1977 Network Edit) runs Friday and Saturday nights at 10:30 pm, through December 27 at National Pastime Theater, 4139 N. Broadway in Chicago.

Goodspeed Musicals, the only two time Tony Award winning theatre in the country, is proud to announce the cast of its upcoming world premiere production of Jim Henson's classic holiday favorite Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, adapted for the stage. Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas will run December 7, 2008, through January 4, 2009, at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Connecticut.

On December 5th, Chicago?s own Flaming Dames Torch Cabaret is returning to The Spot and adding a little spice to the holiday season in their latest revue, ?Have a Very Sexy Christmas?. This non-reveal show keeps a few of the Dames? gifts under wraps, but what they?re sharing will keep audiences warm on cold winter nights. Performing in intimate ?Green Room?, this production brings a contemporary twist to the seasonal favorites everyone loves and features new music that will get your toes tapping to a different ?little drummer boy?.

Ars Nova has announced their December lineup, featuring the 'Uncharted' series as well as series of special events.

On November 15th the Catskills come to Brooklyn as NACL Theatre (North American Cultural Laboratory, www.nacl.org) hosts the BORSCHT BASH, a party to benefit the theatre and its NYC premiere of 'THE UNCANNY APPEARANCE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES' this December at HERE Arts Center in Soho. The event will be co-chaired by actors Susan Dey, Judd Hirsch, and Mary Staurt Masterson.

Upright Cabaret presented OPEN ALL NIGHT: The Songs of Lance Horne starring Alice Ripley, Jennifer Leigh Warren and Tracie Thoms with Tom Lowe and Julie Garnye and special guest Alan Cumming featuring the composer at the piano.

Paul Leschen and Fred Sauter's new musical about a futuristic plague of mutant hair metal bedbugs is a hilarious romp with some kickass tunes. Currently part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF).
